Revisiting the Masters |
What is ACEO? Literally "Art Cards Editions and Originals", ACEO's are collectible little pieces of art. An ACEO is always 2½ inches by 3½ inches. That is the size of a standard sports trading card. The rule about size is the only rule in the ACEO world. An ACEO can be created in any medium the artist desires: photographs, paint, colored pencils, ink, etc. There are even ACEO's made from wood, clay, fabric, and metal. Each is printed on quality cardstock with the image on the obverse and pertinent information on the reverse. A certificate of authenticity in included with every card. The ACEO cards are packed in 2½ X 3½ Ultra-Pro, High Clarity, Acid Free Card Sleeves which are then placed in a high density plastic display holder.

Producing this series of images has been sheer joy. The mastery, delicacy, and beauty of these classic works of art are stunning to say the least. All of the images are in the public domain. Most of the works themselves are owned by various museums and cathedrals around the world, a few by private individuals. |

A few of the links open to Wikipedia articles as the locations do not have websites.)
